Work 50

 

As you know our condition is currently preventing us from progressing with the Doing proper1 and we are unable even to stock up on frames and streched duk2 such is our fear of a relapse. One twist or jerk feels like it could do for us and because of this very real need to rest we are perhaps not as frustrated as we might have been to watch impotently as a thousand autumn motifs pass us by. 

So L'estaque is not proving to be the haven for plein air work that we hoped but no matter at least we have kept the Borg at bay with our sketching and reading. I have thought it an interesting idea to try to manage the reading so as to finish all of the books on one momentous finishing day where we read the last couple of pages of each. Otherwise a modest volume like Pale Fire would reach its conclusion weeks before Infinite Jest and I rather feel like keeping them all spinning until the last. 

Still waiting for Ducks, Newburyport so any finishing day is likely to weeks and weeks away.
