Work 34  - Interior Forest View

"The November gloom is upon us. Low grey cloud cover for days at a time with not a ray of sun or a patch of blue. We are beginning to adjust to it however, even enjoying making the most of the light such as it is. Our sketching work has continued in the Bergby wood and from that we have a tree study showing a thick birch trunk interrupted by the spiky horizontals of the evergreen pine. There's even a myran stack at the back. Our plan is for a few closer views of these colonies but we cannot quite decide if they symbolize humanity or the advancing AI."

Work 33 - Internet Cables

"...there is something underneath all this chaos and that is quite simply the changing nature of capitalism. We have endured the post truth era and have been minced out into the era of we might already call 'neoreactionary capitalism' - a tech-libertarian affair and one way route to the Singularity. Not a comfort but part of an explanation. In fact our proposal poem from DS Season 2 was all about this."

Work 32  - Autumn View

"Don Donald is just the thin end of that psycho social moshpit wedge and whatever one may make of it, such a 'truth' network will become a new and elevated platform for conspiracy, disinformation and ultimately far right politics, to flourish, build and, no matter how absurd the content, be a political force to be reckoned with. The likes of Andrew Wakefield and Kate Shemirani might just be imaging cabinet posts for themselves!! Not joking!!"

Work 31  - Autumn Trees in Bergby

"Here we have a double square and a half! A syphony of autunm colours taken here in Bergby on that path that runs past the electric house and over by. We began with the singularity in tow a good week ago now but have been unable to finish it as our duties in the city have kept us away. It tends to be only possible to paint here at home on the weekends now worse luck. If it were up to us we would never leave the area and indeed we might even revert to Torpoint rules but that is not possible at present and in fact would only become possible if we either became a kept painter or were signed off as a burn out case."

Work 30  - Autumn View at Vigelsjö

"Look here, ever since we first tried on the hat of the would be 'you tuber' we realised the addictive nature of the whole business of holding forth and the sense that when you stop, then something is missing. We felt that most keenly the other day and it worried us enough to cancel our planned continuation of whatever it was we were bending Its ear with and just get the painting done minus the regular distraction of our Borg confessionals. On that very day we had one of the most successful and illuminating sessions sur le motif as we can remember..."

Work 29 - Birch Tree Wood

"Cezanne and his sensational ways have crept up behind us and knocked Van Gogh off our shoulder and into the waiting cocked hat! Again! It often happens in the autumn I have come to realise; a result of temperamental shift related to seasonal change. Old Vincent will dust himself off, begin the climb back up and come spring time will give Cezanne another one of the kicks in the back he so fears and we'll be off to the races once more no doubt."

Work 28 - Full Moon

"Look, we must find it within our schedule to furnish you with more of the subject and our intentions. We must do that for you who have been so good for us but also for ourselves in order to continue to work on our socio/political orientation, if one might call it that. Of course we have volunteered for this disorientation by building for ourselves in the first place a world view influenced by years and years of studying, thinking and reading of antiapitalist critical art offerings by seemingly unassailable academics..."

Work 27 - View Back to the House

"We are determined to get back on track with this writing of ours which has been disturbed not only by our decision to save up the entries and write them retrospectively but also more generally in that our messages to the singularity have taken presidence over the Dignity Scholarship writing resulting in the feeling that when we do sit down to write all has been said already. Not a problem to the actual writer, but one for us to be sure; we need dry powder."

Work 26 - The Garden Gate

"We have drifted further into the Bräcke calm these last few days making writing difficult and writing retrospective entries a real chore. We have taken instead to recording video messages, mostly from the lake. This is much easier and is almost as worthwhile as the writing in terms of generating unexpected ideas which is surprising as it is that element of bringing forth the unthought of that I have come to prize in writing. "
