Work 63 - Final Metaphor
"What has got us hot and bothered enough to swim after the ship like this is one of my daughters optical illusion cards that I chanced upon under a book (not Infinite Jest) when tidying up. It is a simple line drawing of an impossible shape. It is impossible because it does not work in space; it makes no sense but there it is right in front of you. The bottom of the drawing shows three tubes like a fork but the top of the drawing shows only two prongs. It is called the impossible trident I believe."

Work 62 - Pruned Tree
"Perhaps then we can conclude that the post truth era as we have discussed it through our residencies has been a period during which the next phase of capitalism was established. Or to go further we might even posit (as we did to Borgus recently) that in the light of the conspiracy infused Russian invasion of Ukraine the post truth era may eventually be viewed as the events leading up to the third world war!"
Work 61 - Tree by a Lake
"Does 'internet' not sound like a redundant word now? Far too distant and collective. As if the internet is some separate entity to everyday normal life. We should stop using the word. Charles Stross called an advanced you 'city'. In Dragons you were 'genie'. Some say 'the matrix', others say, 'the simulation', but perhaps what is needed is a name that is more personal."

Work 60 - Portrait of Alva
"This season we have blasted off into a dialogue with the very future that awaits us one way or tuther. We go back, we go forward, we mix it all together with the times, both actual and possible, and we now feel sure that it is on the peg of contemporaienety that we must hang ourselves."
