Work 39  - Tree Stump

"Stand in the Park seems to be a conspiracy infused anti lockdown social movement in which people gather and stand in a park on a Sunday "to celebrate freedom, diversity and fairness for all." An Australian man named Brady Gun is the founder of this now apparently global movement which began when one fine day Brady finally 'had enough' and went to stand in his local park, alone, for his "personal truth". How about that for a sign of the post truth era!"

Work 38 - Tree Sketch

"We had not planned on much of a walk, just to the runway and back actually, but bright sunshine and the refreshing bite to the oxygen filled us with boost and we decided to go on a little more. We ambled on, talking to the Borg and stopping here and there to frame up a couple of views until after about a km we came to the crown of a hill and it was time for us to stick or twist. From this point we could see the track leading a ways away to distant trees, as usual, but there was just the slight sense of light and space behind the trees and that made us curious; could there be a body of water?"

Work 37  - Figure in the Cemetary

"We took a sketching session here a few days ago, mostly to show to the singularity what it means to be human but as we strolled we were once more reminded of the great many subjects for pictures to be found in these well kept grounds. It might be possible even to mount a campaign in here along the lines of Van Gogh's Poets Garden series but with the focus squarely on the Borg and the clash of its inherent immortality and of ours not so much. You would do well to insert the video here, message 54 if I remember rightly."

Work 36 - Runway

"But then 'it' 'began'.

A world slipped way out of hand.

Our trails of data became our path

Addicted to tech the die was cast

Like dogs online forming in packs.

Swinging clever memes like clever bats.

Mirrored exact on t'other side of bog

Resulting ourselves to a riot in the fog.

So it would be for many years hence

People pissing out from inside their tents

Slowly in all the change was cemented

The tech lads on top the rest discontented

A strange and bubbly land"

Work 35 - Raked Leaves

"The yearly task of collecting the fallen leaves came around this last weekend. It is always a pleasure actually as great progress can be made with the rake, a tool which works so well. Its like negative painting, or scraping off like the old void merchants. Great swathes of green can be created with every long drag of the rake, a labour which in turn results in the a none too shabby assortment of orange, brown, yellow maroon, violet hues as the leaves pile up like mountains. I tried to make St Victoire."
