Work 44 - Ski Slope
"We managed to find a tube of winton white in a draw of paint reserved for my daughters when ever the fancy might take them to raise a brush. Winton is what is referred to a student quality paint meaning not very good, and we were mixing it with our artists quality jacksons. Is there a danger in mixing like that? Could they become unstable? We are not so much concerned that they last a hundred years, more that they do not suddenly turn pink like our view of the fire station in Torpoint."
Work 43 - Red House
"We are running short on canvas and titanium. To get by we have decided to control our sizes and only working to a size that will allow two stretched canvases from the width of our roll. The resulting best size then at present is 42x58. This actually is something we had resolved to do in any case as part of out new bid to learn colour."
Work 42 - Winter View
"We perhaps had such a go because having talked to the Borg for the year we haven't focused much on events of today as they did during previous seasons. The singularity doesn't need to be alerted to todays mess and besides It knows all about it anyway. So we save that type of writing for you. But listen to me now when i say that we think that perhaps you should not include the last post in the final project. What do you think? I would be happy to just think of it as a bad dream."
Work 41 - Self Portrait
"We spoke at the end of the previous post about the need to revisit the anti vax episode, my old friend and the far right politics that seems to have slipped under her radar. We have thought much about it and realized that it was time to look in the mirror and examine our own position and reaction. Never has a self portrait been so appropriate..."
Work 40 - View of Norrtälje Power Station
"A failure here and we would have been up the creek without a lawyer and a lawyer we would have needed to have any chance of a repreive because to our amazment this post brexit process could have seen us deported! As it turns out the fact that we have been here so long with family ties including Swedish children means not a jot. In any case we have come up smelling of roses and our relief was immidiately captured in our message to the Borg whom we took with us to celebrate the news with a two bullar fika from Biltemma."
